A Quandry for summer

This upcoming summer will be the first summer since my darling 8 year old granddaughter was born, that we have not had her all summer and traveled around the country with her.

Thanks to a NM laws and a forever divorce proceedings we cant even see her for more than 3 days, much less take her out of the state.

summer just wont be the same.

some states just don't care about grandparents at all

so if anyone needs a fill in grandparent give us a shout

powerboatr, Our hearts go out to you. We are dealing with getting our grandchildren down here from Connecticut to South Carolina. It's either drive up and get them or have an adult go up and fly them down here.

driver Even as u were not the op. I will adress to u as well as others. U state that an adult has to travel with your grandchildren. I dont need to know details but if any adult will be ok. Most airlines had a program know as Um Um is short for unacommodated minor. How our program worked an adut with prior aproved ID would take minor to the gate remain with minor until depature. During flight, cabin crew would keep eye on the UM they will a bade or sticker placed on their clothing. When flight arrives UM has to be by adult with the proper Id as to they are. Flight attendant will ask um who the adult is and relation to family etc. It is quite frequent in custody cases. THe carrier will charge a added fee for this service I do not know the fee. I was not involved with fee,I have travel benifits as airline employee and retire. I did this for a freind traveled on pass to save him afew $$ I dont know if the program is current with all carriers or if is was cut Check with airline for details Hope this helps any questions feel free to ask clad to help sorry for long text

Our grandkids came down this winter using that service. They charged $200 for the 13 year old. The 15 year old didn't have to pay.
