I'm not sure what else you want Walmart to do???

But maybe I'm missing something. So the 12' 11" sign is not there, just a "low clearance" sign. You said no place to turn around . . . what happened? Did you have to disconnect your toad and back out onto the street? How did you get out of your predicament?
I was letting people know about the lot and that there was no information concerning the low clearance before you were committed to the path and no place to go but straight forward. There is a sign saying 12'11" my wife missed it. Walmart had just repaved the lot. So I thought it would be good information for other RVer's. I was not complaining about anything other than the lack of information to be able to make a an intelligent decision.

I understand completely and do appreciate the heads-up on that Wal-Mart. Those darned yellow bars are showing up at places where I've been accustomed to swinging into in the past. And, like others are doing, I do scope out parking lot entries before hand with Google's street view. Big problem there is ... those photo runs may be months or years old. Any new additions to the parking lot entries would not be caught by the Google camera. This fact makes me extremely cautious when approaching a parking lot entry and a fuel stop. In the case of some of the major truck stops, entries get "improvements" that sometimes have my head on a swivel trying to see what the new traffic pattern is.

It's all fun to talk about afterward, but at the time, the pucker factor registers high.

The Sedalia Walmart lot is accessible by the entrance down the street that goes to the right of the store. While parked there w/a caravan waiting entrance to the fairgrounds a few blocks away, we watched several rv's come n the main entrance with the "low clearance". A few turned around while several just eased under the bar. That one is a bit unusual in that it is in away from the street just a bit, so if you are not looking ahead it can surprise you.

I would like to thank all the people on the list that have commented. I will be using Google more often. There are tools available that make traveling easer, all you have to do is remember that they are available and to use them.
