Acronyms, SIKWTI

Is it just me, or SIKWTI, (should I know what this is) with every acronym in various postings?

Somtimes I take time to figure the shortcut out and other times I just ignore it like something out of a polititians mouth.

I work in a job with many, many acronyms. I didn't know what one was and so I asked. I was told it was just another TLA. (Three Letter Acronym)

I agree

If one wants others to understand what they are saying it is relatively easy to use full words rather than acronyms.

BTW, (By The Way), SIKWTI...MNTME, (Means Nothing To Me Either).

Our rules actually address " excessive " use.

Posts should be well formatted. Use paragraphs, punctuation, and capital letters appropriately. Excessive use of Netspeak/LOLspeak (internet slang) and texting shortcuts (b4, str8, etc) is not permitted. Posts with violations may be edited or deleted without notification.

If you see posts that are " excessive ", please report them to us.

Thanks Cliff I agree. Our language as a nation is getting messed up and kids won't know how to spell anything or how to communicate texting everything with acronyms or shortcuts.
