Advantage of age...

So the DP is 1989...

Original price twice what we paid for the house and then some...(we were third owner and spent pennies on original dollar)...

Could only guess what insurance and registration was in the old days...

Had to replace the AC due to one retiring, but found a pair of heat pumps for $400.00, so cheap upgrade...

We are in CA...

Received the DMV renewal yesterday...

So we are not flashy driving down the road, but it is paid for 100%!

The savings on the registration and insurance allow for upgrades to be on saved money instead of extra money.

Age does have some advantage to the bottom line!

I agree that owning older vehicles can be an advantage. Excise taxes, insurance, etc. Some of the newer diesels with EGR's and DPF's can be troublesome. I had a 2008 Itasca Navion that started going into limp-home mode and lighting up the check-engine light within a year. I drove a lot of diesels in the army and the older diesel engines were very reliable. The rest of the truck would fall apart, though. I now own a pre-EGR/DPF Dutch Star and love it.

The word is spelled HEAVEN by the way, no "L" (noel).

He is talking about an older RV or Motor home.

HE might also be including senior citizen rates on some things.
Home is where I park it!

I bought a new one and we are aging together. Soon enough one will be a relic the other; vintage.
