Airbus A380 Landing in SF

Pilot's View of Airbus A380 Landing in San Francisco.

Use full screen for good viewing. Also, this is about 15 minutes long

What skill, and what a perspective.

When I was a kid, you went to the airport to learn how to fly, now you go to Georgia Tech or MIT.

Re the Airbus...my BIL, a retired airline captain likes to say, "if it ain't Boein', I ain't goin.'

Thanks Wayne: The technology keeps moving, all fly by wire. I noticed there is not a lot of time on the flight controls, tell the computer, turn the knobs. Scary that some day they will move the knobs to Air Traffic Control

Thanks for the link. As a private pilot of 37 years, watching videos like that is still a thrill. Over my flying years, I've flown my piper lance to Canada, Greenland , Iceland, Scotland, France, Italy, mexico, Honduras, Belize, Bahamas, Aruba, Curaçao, Trinidad, Grenada, st. Lucia, St Maarten, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Turk Caicos Islands, Haiti, Dominican Republic all from Florida.
That's flying with cable and pulley. The old fashion way.

Don't worry. It's all computer controlled. Both the pilot and copilot would have to spill their beers on the control surface actuators to cause any problems.
