AirLift bag disappointment.

I had front and rear AirLifts installed on my 82 Pace Arrow 3 years ago.(MH used about 9 months out of those 3 years and around 7,000 miles) This summer the rears had problems 1 blew a hole in the side of the bag and the other just came lose and hangs there.
We took it back to where we had them installed (had lots of repairs on all 3 of my vehicles at said repair shop, was very happy with them till now) he tells us that he can't get them replaced under the warranty and its our fault that we are having these problems.(A-What ) I thinks its his problem for not cranking the wrench!
He tells us he will pay to re-install but we have to buy the AirLift bags.
Any ideas besides?
We will call AirLift today to see why they won't replace them. Suppose to have a Life time Warranty.
Thanks for any advice.
Tim

PS He recommended these to us.

Tim,

Consider yourself lucky. My AirLift bags lasted from just south of Cleveland, OH to about halfway between Nashville and Memphis. They were on for a little over a week before one got a hole in it.

The online ripoff artist said they didn't make it so it wasn't their problem. Airlift said they didn't sell it so it wasn't up to them. And the silly old boys at AirLift never even sent me the rebate!

Write it off as a learning experience and get name brand bags like Firestone- along with a new mechanic.

Spritz, the bags do have a life time warranty. I wouldn't hold your breath on the labor being life time though. Now, if a Airlift shop put them on, they will warranty them out, parts and labor included. They did for me anyway!

Improper installation is the root cause of most air bag failures. If something is rubbing, any bag will fail. If one is just hanging, that sounds like improper installation to me.
