Look for your NEWS in more places. See what they are saying and doing. Compare what you see there and what is stated here in the United States. Sometimes you get a surprise. It's not un American activity I'm proposing.

I agree. The U.S. big 4 television news corporations have a very slanted production agenda. Ku-band satellite television has a broad selection of world-wide news broadcasts, but the internet is much faster and more convenient.

For years I have advocated getting a shortwave radio and tuning in Radio Canada, Radio Moscow and Radio Cuba. None are to be believed completely but given the political situation, they + Fox and ABC might give you a pretty good idea of what passes for truth nowadays.

Reuters (online) has a distinctly anti-American bias, BBCNews is less so. Google News, geared toward the 20-something crowd, which are still all starry-eyed over Obama.
Still, its interesting to read what they have. Balance it against Fox and WSJ and you come out somewhere close to reality. (IMHO)
BTW, I don't watch TV news, its just ridiculous. Too many pretty people.
