Amazing Sale

We're having a home built near Myrtle Beach, SC. ,and we'd be selling our coach to be able to do some overseas travel. Our home should be ready end of Feb., 1st of March. So I put a for-sale sign on the windshield and a few days later out of the blue a nice couple saw it, looked it over and gave me a check to hold it until the house is ready, since we really can't move out of the coach or we'd be two homeless seniors. Sometimes life will really surprise you. I guess we've been living right.

Good for all 4 of you. For sure, we all would rather buy & Sell like that, instead of throwing a salesman or two & a dealership into the formula.

Most Motorhome folks are Nice People, there is no reason we can't all get along-we are generally not ignorant, and we all realize these rigs are going to need something.

Be sure the check is good before letting the title go!

You have to love it when a plan works as hoped.

Actually it's a mutual trust we have. He gave me a check which has been deposited, and he has to trust that I won't just up & hit the road leaving him in the lurch. Our agreement is a handshake which I'll honor, and he already has. It still has me shaking my head at our good fortune.

I'd be a little more concerned about traveling overseas, with the state of affairs. There's got too be a few more places on this side too see.
Enjoy your self.

Tim

My wife and I have been traveling overseas for 40 years plus. Some of our best trips has been in times of strife when there were few others in Europe.

We continue to take a couple of big trips every year, and will continue to do so. We all just have so many years on this earth, and we still have a few places we've never been.

We just sold a 2014 Motorhome using Craigslist. The Buyers were from Miami-we met them at the viewing, and did not see them again until they brought us a Bank Check.

We talked many times over the phone & via internet-until we arrived at an agreement.

They tendered payment, I gave them the Motorhome & Title. Like all good things Mechanical, on the day of delivery, the inverter would not work-so, we ended up giving them a check of our own to pay for a new inverter & installation. Yes, it took 8 days for their check to be listed as "Funds Available" , after we deposited it in our account. I will tell you that their are still good folks out there, when we deal with each other we need to hold a higher standard among ourselves, we all need to do what we say, we all need to do the right thing , buyers & Sellers alike.
