Andy Rooney

Well I guess he got his way he worked almost up to the day he died.
It was announced that Andy passed away last Night at the age of 92....I only hope I can get around as good as he did and live to his age.
He will be missed.Andy Rooney, wry '60 Minutes' commentator, dies - Yahoo! News

The old ''Kermudgin'' was a one of a kind person. He really believed in what he said and he said what he thought as I could see it. He was the best part of 60 Minutes and he will be missed .........

I loved to watch old Andy. He just plain and simple told it the way he saw it. The problem is we don't have people like him now.

I can hear him now..."Gee, why are these clouds so scratchy? Wonder why they looked so much softer from the ground. Where's my desk? I like a BIG desk so I can keep all my things that people give me in the drawers. You can not have too many drawers in your desk...the bigger, the better. And I do miss my comfortable shoes. I like looking at my comfortable shoes while I have my feet on top of my desk...those shoes have been to some wonderful places where nice people have given me all kinds of things. As soon as I get my desk, I show you some of the many wonderful things that people have given me. And while I'm at it, ever notice how much my eyebrows look like these fluffy clouds? I think my eyebrows are much softer than these clouds are, and probably just as fluffy...why is that?"....

RIP, Mr. Rooney. What fun we've have looking at the world as you have seen it. Bob

A colleague at Boeing was a lot like Andy. He once said he wanted be remembered as an obnoxious old curmudgeon. Another colleague said, "It's just a matter of time. You've got the obnoxious and the curmudgeon sorted out. Now you just have to get old."
