Hi Folks,

Sorry if this post isn't as interesting or exciting as many of the others. I'm just so danged excited that I needed to share it with some other folks. We've finally been blessed with good weather, here in Northern Nevada and the forecast for the weekend looks great too! So what's my point you might ask??? We got our 05 National Dolphin in December. We did a lot of back yard camping, and have had a blast outfitting our 2nd home with all the comforts and necessities of home. So around April we figure we'll get on recreation.gov and book some trips for the summer. Our first was at Frenchman's Lake in the Plumas National forest. Beautiful area and we were figuring, hey the weather should be good by June. Goodness! did mother nature let us down on that one. It rained all weekend and I didn't even get to go fishing. We made the best of it, but on Sunday morning sitting in the motorhome watching a video we decided, let's pack it up and go home. So this weekend we're doing another booked trip. This time to Nevada Beach on the East side of Lake Tahoe, the Jewel of the Sierra's. Took it out of the RV parking behind the fence tonigh, just to do some preliminary prep stuff. I'll probably get a love note from the hoa, telling me I can't park my mh in front of the house more than 24 hours without a permission slip, but they'll get over it. That about covers it. For anyone that took the time to read through my entire post and let me bore you for a while, THANK YOU Whatever you're weekend has in store for you I hope it's GREAT! Catch you all later. It's camping time!

Someday I'll regail you all with stories of the "Clipboard Queen" who was the Nazi Rule Enforcer at our condominium when we lived in Victoria. I drove her crazy because one time she was getting neurotic about my having my delivery trailer in the front entrance loop while I went in for lunch. She was nattering that the rules forbade an owner to park a vehicle and trailer in the entrance loop. I asked her if it was OK to park just my truck and she said yes. I started up and pulled ahead cut hard and backed the trailer onto the lawn. I turned the truck off and said "I always try to stick to the rules." She went ballistic and was screaming that I couldn't park my trailer on the lawn. I asked here where the rules started that and went in to eat.

Up here north of you we've been having really terrible weather for camping but we've been just going anyhow. Got to watch storms crashing onto the west coast during a huge Pacific storm, been picking clams and oysters in the rain and cooking them over a bonfire in the rain. Got to go fishing for trout in some high mountain lakes and streams and just generally having a hell of a god time. Now when the weather improves we'll got out and have really magnificent camping experiences. A bad day camping is better than a good day doing most other things.

Enjoy your weekend also.

Dennis
