Another Good Use for the RV

We downsized our sticks and bricks home earlier this year since my retirement. The DW loves throwing family Christmas parties, but our current home is almost half the size of our last home. We were concerned there wouldn’t be enough room since my wife has such a large family. No worries I told her, the RV is only few feet away from the patio door. The RV will now serve as an overflow, for family to sit and relax. The DW even hung some decorations to make it feel cozy. Just another reason why I love storing the RV at home!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Great idea!

Back in about 2005 when our granddaughter was about two years old and her parents (our son and his lovely wife) didn't have a guest bedroom, we just parked the motorhome out in front of their house to spend the night. We wanted to be there when the little one got up to see what Santa brought.

Well, they have a bigger house now, complete with a guest bedroom . . . and a grandson has been added to the family, but we still park the motorhome out in front of their house to spend the night . . . the grandkids just think that's how Christmas should be! We just live a couple of miles away, so it's easy. We arrive Christmas Eve, go to the church service with them, then back for the Santa preparations.

Works for us! We sometimes even get a glimpse of Santa on their roof.
