Our next trip for 14 days is based off of the crappie season. It will be at Toledo Bend. Our friends have a house on the lake with a pier that projects way out into the lake. They have the pier setup with poles for lanterns to fish at night. These poles swing out over the water.

Wow. My neighbor that fished literally every opportunity moved - so I'm not as informed as I once was. With the weather we've been having I'm a little surprised. Low water may be a factor. Good to know and nice fish at 13". Mouth watering enough to bring the lake up an inch or two.

Are you at or headed to the coast. Thought I saw you were headed down that way.

Might try float tube fishing. This might work for those that are storage challenged. I am going to Lake Whitney State Park April 4, 5, 6 next week and will wet a line. Then to the coast starting at Galveston, then down to Rockport, should be near May first. Waiting on grandbaby to be born and healthy before I can skip out. Fishing tales might follow.
