Anybody need a map?

Planning our upcoming round trip from Fl to Yellowstone, I've been gathering maps and guide books from the states we'll cross, as well as plotting out trip on a large wall map.
when I received the Colorado Tour Guide, there was no road map enclosed, so I Emailed them to send me one. When it showed up, it was a case of 100 Colorado road maps. Label indicates it was shipped from Vision graphics (printer?) to Colo Dept of Transportation. I called their tourist bureau and informed them, guy said he didn't know how to get them back, but took my phone # and said he'd get back. Been a week, haven't heard. I'll try to email them today and see what happens, I hate to just through them away. Maybe I'll throw them in the back seat of the truck and drop them off. LOL

I wouldn't spend money sending them back! Chances are they won't get into the right hands will be trashed anyway!

Why not drop them off at a Colorado welcome center or rest stop. I would bet that they could always use another box. Also, thanks for the reminder as I need the package to fill out our fall western swing info -

Planning a trip on a large wall map? That sounds like a good idea. I use map quest. I change my mind so many times if I used a wall map it would have to be laminated.

I use the Michelin #761 US road maps. I do understand how many times you can change your mind as our last one has several different color marker line sets for each change

When you get to CO. stop in at the first rest stop which is also a "Welcome Center" (usually the 1st rest stop) and "Gift" them.

IN the old days I'd go to the Jackson County (MI) Road comission and pick up maps by the case and drop them off at the camp store.

I'd just drop them off on your way.

I tend to use Google maps and occasionally Mapquest. I like the google maps because you can go to satellite and zoom in enough to determine what kind of a road you'll be travelling on and by scrolling down the road you can see what general condition it is in. It's not necessary for major hwys. or interstates, but very handy if you'll be on a secondary road.
