The first time at 35. Did not work. Too Young.

The second time at 54, and it worked.

What are these very expensive toys of which you speak? They sound interesting.

This worked for me - I eased into it to get the budget and details worked out prior to the plunge: at 55 I went to 3 days a week, at 58 I retired. Eliminate debt then you really don't need a lot $$. P.S. I'm not a full time RVer.

My goal was to retire at 50, but I waited to payoff an investment and retired at 53. Bought the MH 2 years later and have enjoyed it ever since.

The job I had (state trooper) only required 25 years of service and my military time counted. I retired at 44 and have never looked back. With today's world, I'm grabbing what I can and enjoy it. If things get so expensive I can't live on my retirement, I'll be the one greeting the rest of you at Walmart and giving you permission to camp for the night.

The way I've got it calculated, I should be able to retire about 5 years after I'm dead!

52 for me 53 for DW. Would never had given it a thought if we had any debt. Well besides taxes. The company we both worked for offered an incentive and we bit back in 2010. Scared me a little at first but after 20 or 30 seconds I was OK
