Anyone ever take in a PGA Tournament

While we are still debating our Easter plans which may include a trip to the Hilton Head. The PGA Heritage Tournament will be in town.

Has anyone ever attended an event like this?

I've been to several PGA and LPGA tournaments and I was a standard bearer in one LPGA tournament. It's fascinating to watch the pros.

I think the day pass is around $60 and I can take my son for free. You see many people attending this events while watching it on TV and thought it may be interesting to be there in person once.

I've attended several PGA events. For me, the most interesting thing to do is once the field of players has finished the front nine, leave the crowd and go to a couple of the par four and 5 tees on the front nine. Stand where the pros tee off from and look down the fairway. For me, it is a different view than from where I tee off from. This is especially true at the US Open and the Augusta National.

Check out the Hilton Head Motorcoach Resort. If they take C's you can walk to the golf course.

They "play a game with which I am not familiar".

I believe that's a paraphrased quote from the great Bobby Jones describing the same feeling of awe... except he was speaking about how he felt watching some new kid named Jack Nicklaus.

Enjoy the tournement. They're great fun.
