Howdy. Was wondering if the price of fuel has caused a drop in snowbird traffic to Arizona so far this fall/winter. We are planning to head on down mid December.
Comments anyone.

I don't work (retired) where I could see I10 traffic from lunch or work. However I called 3 RV Resorts here in Tucson and 2 said no impact and 1 stated he was fuller than last year.

With the cost of heating up north it sort of offsets the fuel to get here. Art

Most snow birds don't show up for another week or 2, but the resturants are already fuller at night. It was in the 50s today and saw a lot of folks in t shirts and a few short. (snowbird wear when its cold here.

Thanks for the responses. I know a few from here that are going south, and some are staying home this year.

We are going to have an election here probably sometime in January, so hopefully we will miss it as there is not much hope for the better.

I was at Beaudry RV in Tucson Friday and Saturday and they say neither their Rv sales or Resort occupancy have shown any decline this year. I know that their bays prepping new sales were jammed on Friday.

Not in AZ but did live there for 8 miserable years and never saw a slow down. Now we are in FL for the winter (workamping) and they are starting to come here. In one week the traffic in the Orlando/Kissimmee/St. Cloud area increased so much I thought I was in a parade.

A/C: you're probably going to have more excitement watching a cactus grow, than the election up here would provide...
