If this guy was really smart, he would have predicted the USA would fall any date after December 21, 2012. After all, that is the date another bunch of crazies say the world will end. I guess I don't need to worry about my retirement plan withdrawls.

After how many years do 'conquerors' hold full title to a territory and no longer have to relent to a predecessor's claims?
Here we might say 100-200 years.
Elsewhere on this planet it appears to be 1000-2000+ years.

But pilfered artwork from a couple generations ago is still being returned today to its 'legal' original owners, and that will probably continue happening for at least another generation or so.
It looks to me like its harder to figure out who owns the dirt as versus who owns the artwork. You'd think that a claim to something that doesn't move and you can't hide would be easier to figure out then who owns some tiny little painted picture.

The Republic of Texas was a sovereign nation in North America between the United States and Mexico that existed from 1836 to 1846.

Didn't the people who lived in the region of Texas just 150 years ago just decide they didn't want to be a part of Mexico any more, against the wishes of the Mexican gov't at the time, and 10 years later was absorbed by the US? Its as easy as that?
and so maybe this should then also retroactively validate the entire South's claim of sovereigity from the North valid?
And while we're at it, NorCal (State of jefferson) wants out of 'the Golden State' too.
I mean, all the rest of us are happy to have Texas as a part of us, but could you guys maybe clean up all those speed-traps along your part of i10 ?

You mean along the 80 MPH sections of I-10? Yeah, they're enforcing that pretty stringently, but hey, we need the money (that's ANOTHER topic! )

Tom -

As you know, there was a border dispute between Texas and Mexico as the following map illustrates. When Texas joined the United States, it generally brought the land within the borders claimed by Texas.

OK
so when Canada takes over the big center part we would be willing to trade Mexico or China 2 cold states for 1 warm one

One big question? What happens to the full-timers that do not have a place call home other then their RV.
Do they become part of the newly formed country that they are in at the time or do they get multi-passports.
