Atomic Clocks Set To DST 1 Day Early!

I have several atomic clocks. These are the clocks that are set, automatically, by the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado. Got up this morning and did a double take. The clocks were set to DST last night! Anybody else have the same happen to them?

We have one next to the bed and I just looked- it's still on standard time...(we're on the West Coast, though that shouldn't matter)

Any chance yours has somehow got the wrong day/date????

'Atomic clocks' (actually radio receivers tuned to WWV) are made by several manufacturerers and there's a couple of different chipsets in use... sounds like one version or another might have a firmware bug. It happens, Apple can't seem to even get this right in the iPhone...

I suspect it's the embedded firmware; it was probably programmed for when DST changed in years past. The dates seem to change yearly as to when we "spring forward, fall back".

It's not simply an old version as they are seeing the change at the most recent DST change date (2nd Sunday in March), but just 24 hours early. That is a bug.

The O.P. says he has several of these- if they're different brands it seems unlikely that they'd all have the same internal bug!

Do we know if they're showing the wrong date too?

None of my clocks (3) show a date. They show just time. Each has an analog face (with hands). They are La Crosse brand. They were purchased over a 5-7 year time period. The last clock was purchased about 9 years ago. This is the first time this has happened. I'm glad at least one other member (adjudge) had the same problem.

On edit, all the clocks have a fresh battery. The battery is changed every January.

Well, it could be a bug throughout different makes and models, if they all use the same internal components. Chances are the timekeeping components are all made by the same manufacturer and supplied to various resellers.

Our Atomic clock changed to DST this afternoon and than tonight it went back to regular time. I will be curious to see what tomorrow morning brings.
