AZ Meteor Shower

G'morning from Casa Grande:

It's about 6:15 a.m. here and still dark. Been up since 4:30 a.m. and was outside the rig sippin coffee and smokin my pipe, ....and....watchin for the meteor shower 'they' said would be taking place over night. Sure enough, meteors were zippin through the sky all over the place. Well, you'd see one then awhile later here comes one and sometimes two etc. etc. Pretty interesting.

Was wondering though,... I'd always figured these showers would be travelin through the earths atmosphere all coming from the same direction !! Didn't seem to be the case. Most DID seem to be travelin from our SW locale heading NE, but, you'd often see others heading directly S. or in some other direction.

There were quite a few, and in fact at one point I wondered if it might be wise gettin out an umbrella .

Steve

Late last night my wife stepped outside here in southern Alabama and said they were everywhere. Always fun to watch a meteor shower.
