Yes, just got home. Was driving on US-78/I-22 heading towards Tupelo on our way home to Memphis when my phone went off stating to seek shelter immediately. There was no where to seek shelter so we started looking for tornado spouts. A few minutes later we see brake lights galore and blue lights. A tornado had just gone through Tupelo and power lines were down across the interstate and the alternate routes. We were stuck on the interstate until they could clear the power lines. We saw significant damage and consider ourselves very lucky as a few minutes later and who knows what would have happened. We check weather constantly and we knew we would be driving through some rain and had alternate plans if we felt it was needed. This one caught us by surprise.

Brian..Glad you are ok. That had to shake you up. I think the weather alerts for a smart phone are so helpful. Some CB radios also have that feature, to monitor weather alerts.

We are South of the really bad stuff. This seems to becoming a standard Springtime event. I tool my grandson to Talladega a couple of years ago. We were lucky that time as tornadoes tore up areas very close to us.

Some times no amount of planning will ever replace blind luck! Glad your safe.
We try and plan for weather but in reality were just following our best guess.
