Balloon Fiesta's

OK - since the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta was a bust for me (sob!! , has anyone been to any other balloon festivals around Arizona, New Mexico, etc. this time of year? I'd like a shot at seeing one before I leave this area.

ONE DAY EARLIER and I would have seen everything. What a wasted $150 for the Gondola club!! Met some nice folks though . . .

Congrats to all who made it there and got to see the spectacular colors!! The videos and photos they showed to those of use left to wander the park after the second day cancellation were pretty spectacular!

Sorry about your experience - I know the cancellations were a bummer for you.

Sometimes karma works in your favor, however. In our case, in 2005, we just happened to take a trip to Albuquerque - we secheduled it in May, not knowing the dates of the festivals. Imagine our surprise when we got there that everybody was wanting to know how we got such great hotel rates (time frame precluded taking the MH) because we were smack in the middle of all of it! It was indeed a glorious trip.

I know the one at Telluride, CO is nice - nothing compared to ALB, but still very impressive.
