I grew up eating, drinking and sleeping baseball. Today I will not pay any attention to the major league games. With strikes, drugs, greedy owners and players, along with TV, the game is nothing, Can your kids watch a World Series, or the playoffs. No Greed for the almighty $$$$
Bonds is not worthy of the record and I believe time will tell us the truth

We just had 2 classy guys inducted into the Hall of Fame. They not only set records, they set a good example for our children. Unfortunately many athletes of today are bad examples. It's killing all professional sports. I often think of Pete Rose. He was one of the best players in baseball history. Was his offence worse than the durg users of today?

It doesn't seem like a good record if it takes 30 or 40 more games to break. The first one was the "Babe". He set the record in so many games. Then along came Hank. He broke the record but it took many more games to do it. Now Barry comes along and breaks Hank"s record but it took again more games to do it. I guess the record will keep on being broken as long as someone can stay healthy enough to keep playing. So I guess the record of so many homers in X number of games will continue to change.

Just my opinion.

It would also be interesting to see an "at bat" comparison. And maybe a comparison of some sort of pitching then vs. now - maybe it is just more difficult to hit a home run.

No matter, it seems - this latest guy seemingly will always have the steroid stigma attached.

Maybe it's just me, but ***yawn***

Let me see how much does that compare to the pitiful raise our Brave service men and women just got. Sorry Ladies and Gents it makes no sense to this senior.

All this hoop-la over anew record. Just when was it he got convicted of drug use ? Speculation and Accusations are a dangerous thing. Benefit of the doubt is the humane thing to do.

Bonds will never best Hank's record until he does it in the same number of games played. I stopped supporting boxing and baseball when ___ well, its in the past now.
