At the pub it's Harp.
At home it's Coors lite, much better and safer than water.

Americans have somehow been brainwashed by relentless advertizing that a fizzy yellow tasteless Pilsner style beer, chilled to the point it freezes your taste buds so you can not perceive the lack of any good taste, is the beer that makes you athletic, famous and better looking.

End of rant. Thank You for listening
Can't it be that some of us have different taste in beers? Why do those of us who don't have the same tastes as you need to be looked down upon? It has nothing to do with advertising for me, I tasted a wheat beer and enjoyed it and now I look for them. I tasted the beer styles you like and spit it out. To each his own.

As we travel, I pick up 6 packs of local micro-brews, mainly because MrsChileRick really likes the containers because they fit so well in the pantry. I'm a lager/pilsner and the occasional blonde ale kind of guy, because I don't find those hoppy dark beers particularly refreshing when it's 110 outside.....anyhow, some of my favorites,
Grand Canyon Pilsner, brewed in Douglas, in Northern Arizona
805 blonde ale, brewed by FireStone Walker in Paso Robles, Ca, and
Colorado Native lager brewed by Coors ( I believe) and only available in Colorado
Next stop, NorCal, hear there are some good micro-brews up in wine country!

It's funny how people come down cleanly on either side of the bitter/nonbitter divide. For me, bitter, hoppy beer is awful.

We should have an iRV2 beer summit where everyone brings a case or 2 of their favorite local micro-selections. Then mix and match till we all fall down.

Oh I like that idea. Maybe we can alternate Beer days & Bourbon/Scotch/Whiskey days!

Yes, at the next National rally, they need to have an afternoon/evening devoted to mcrobrew tasting. Then an evening devoted to wine and another to hard spirits....Think what a rally that would be.

Highly attended every other day. Assuming we put a day between each tasting, to clear the palate of course. But I'm big enough to admit, I ain't as young as I once was.

People drink beer?
I buy one six pack a year, I drink one and the DW uses the rest to bait and kill slugs!

During the summer I like Pilsner Urquell. In the winter I like a Chien Grand cru. I only drink once in a long while due to when I drink then I want a Smoke. And I quit smoking.
