Belongings lnsured while full timing

I wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed the most likely place.
My DW and I will finally become full timers, real soon and I just got off the phone with my insurance company letting them know our home and property will be converted to a landlord insurance. I told the insurance co. our belonging will be stored on the property until we find another place to buy and need that insured. They stated they aren't set-up to insure just belonging in a rental insured home.

My question here is - does anyone know of any insurance that will cover household belonging as a separate policy?

I would think a renters policy would be the way to go. Same as if you were renting the house.
