I've got a few "crossovers" also.....you've never hear "Slippin Around" till you've heard Guy Lombardo's twin pianos gettin all OVER it....and Louis Armstrong singing "Cold, Cold Heart".... I'm into vintage music... big band and jazz, and old country...

That would be Brad Paisly.

I have to say I like El Paso myself.

But how about, "United Breaks Guitars" Which is a protest song by Canadian musician Dave Carroll and his band, Sons of Maxwell.

It it a ballad (True story no less) and well, it just goes to prove that ticking off a bard.. NOT a good idea.

(Sort story, as the title suggests United Airlines broke his Guitar,, A discontinued mode made by Taylor. He ask them to accept responsibility and pay for the damage, and United gave him the old "We are not responsible for the contents" brush off.

So he did what only a Bard can do.

A couple of days after it went up on You-Tube and quickly went viral the CEO of United called him to make good on the damage, And the CEO of Taylor to tell him they had dusted off the blueprints and were going to make a few more of that model, and..

Well you get the idea.. It is a country song that seriously kicks behind.

Brad Paisley sings it; title: I'm Gonna Miss Her

My fav CW song: I Will Always Love You. Whether it's Dolly, Whitney or Vince singing, it's beautiful.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Not to sound like a horses butt, however, Johnny Cash didn't write Sunday Morning Comin' Down. Kris Kristofferson (sp) wrote it. When Cash first did the song on TV, the powers that be wanted him to change a line in the song from "I wish I was stoned" to "I wish that I was Home", and Cash would do it. That's my kind of singer.

Anything by Charlie Daniels gets my vote. My wife says that "Simple Man" is my theme song. He did a USO tour when I was in Korea. Very down to earth person.

Regards,

Gotta agree with George Jones - He stopped loving her today

Also, Waylon Jennings - Luckenback, Texas (Back to the basics of love)
George Jones - Talk back trembling lips
Conway Twitty - You've never been this far before

Love the 'old' country songs a thousand times better than the ones today ...
