Yup, Mamma got killed when the train hit his pick up as she was coming to the railroad station to pick him up after he got out of prison but the dog got away unhurt.

You mean that one?

That was my first thought as well.

How about Johnny Cash, take your pick of :Only, or One Piece at a Time.

I was sitting this morning at a table with a bunch of retired auto workers .

Being British, my favorite is "I got a brand new combine harvester" by a group called "The Worzels". A close second is another of theirs called "what do we want with a light". Third would be "Nempnet Trubwell"

On of my old music buddies has been doing "Ghost Chickens in The Sky" for years. It's better than the original IMHO.

Oh boy! I have so many favs. But I would have to say "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain". Followed real close by "Today I Started Loving Her Again" by Merle Haggard.

Now that one hits on several levels.. First I truly love the song.. It is a good sing and yes, I've been known to sing it.

Second in addition to "Cowboy" type songs I like a type of musice called FILK, originally thought to be a typo-corruption of FOLK This is music you often hear at Science Fiction conventions (Based on science fiction or fantasy) however it has grown to include many other music attempts as well.

For example Peter, Paul and Mary's. Ghost YUPPIES in The Sky, which is a FILK of Ghost Riders.

As walked out evening down Columbus avenue......

Okay, this may not be the best country song of all time, but it is one of the best titles (clean) for a real song:

"Get Your Tongue Out of My Mouth, 'Cause I'm Kissing You Goodbye."

It was recorded by a couple of people, include John Denver, and, of course, Ray Stevens. Check it out the original by Don Brun on YouTube:

Get Your Tongue Out Of My Mouth, I'm Kissin' You Goodbye - YouTube

Just adding my 2.5 cents (inflation).
