On our 2000 DSDP we replaced all the interior Day/Night shades with light blocking material on all the night sections plus upgraded material.
On our 2002 DSDP we ordered the light blocking material as a factory option. The shower skylight has a light blocking shade on it too, standard.
The front shades do let in light but we're quite a ways back and can close the pocket door also.

A word of caution. I had this reflecting material on my windshield , driver and passenger windows( one piece ). It did work , however , I washed the MH mid day and the windshield split down the middle top to bottom.

Wow - sorry to hear that - guess it was too much of a temp change all at once...

good to know (but then I don't wash my 5er ) fortunate enough to allow someone else to do it... neighborhood teens, rv store, etc...

The silver reflective material will cause tremendous heat on the windshield and I believe it could eventually cause problems. If you have an outside sunscreen on the windshield, you can put some of the silver stuff between the sunscreen and windshield (on the outside of the windshield). Worked for me.
