It was too foggy here to even see if we had a moon. At 9 AM, it is still a really heavy fog.

This 2nd Full Moon this month is a very rare event as it is happening on New Years eve.
HAPPY NEW YEAR just a little couple of hours early and take pictures of the moon tonight.

Blue Moon, hum, may that is why I had trouble getting back @ one this AM!

Speaking of Williams, I live just south of there, drove the back roads up yesterday to practice driving in the snow. Heard lots of people had problems on I-40&17.

No snow @ home and 3-4 inches after driving about 25 minutes... and no snow when we got back home! The only way to enjoy snow!

Planning an Alaska trip next year, so will not make it to Williams then.

Happy New Year!

Blue moon, you saw me standin' alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own
Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me sayin' a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will hold
I heard somebody whisper "please adore me"
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold
Blue moon, now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "please adore me"
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold
Blue moon, now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon, now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Namwob Great Picture As I understand it, the Blue Moon only happens once every 19 years. Happy 2010 to everyone.

Over the next 20 years there will be about 15 blue moons, with an almost equal number of both types of blue moons occurring. No blue moon of any kind will occur in the years 2011, 2014, and 2017.

The rare phenomenon of two blue moons occurring in the same year happens approximately once every 19 years. 1999 was the last time a blue moon appeared twice, in January and March
