I grew up near his house in Toluca Lake, and we went trick or treating there every year. He was always kind and boy, did he give out good candy! Anyone familiar with See's candy?

Bob never came down to where we were but we got Martha Raye and boy was she an entertainer!!!!!!!!!! And a real character as well.

My Father fought in the South Pacific during WW2. He could not say enough good things about Bob Hope, and would not tolerate any thing he thought disparaged him in any way.
