It is typical "reporting" done everywhere today.

Don't have a great story? Make one up.

Interestingly enough, the New Orleans authorities are now questioning his reports on bodies floating in the French Quarter around his hotel. French Quarter did not flood according to the report.
"Truth" to many of not all Americans is what they hear on the network news reports. When it reaches the point where this "truth" cannot be trusted or believed then a change needs to be made. Network news is biased enough now but this has gone too far. Even NBC should be outraged by his 'mis-remembrance'.
I'm expecting him to try going to some sort of rehab treatment for a few weeks, claiming stress and job pressure and then try it again.

Common media outlets and their reporters are simply coin operated mouthpieces. Little substance, much fluff, sensational scare tactics, plugs for other shows, plugs for bad movies to boost ticket sales, and occasionally a useful tidbit in a 10-second soundbite that does not tell enough for the viewer to formulate more than a fuzzy picture.
And some may borrow or create stuff to augment their tool bag. Not new stuff here.
Hence, broadcast TV is grasping for ratings and gasping for breath, concurrently.

Accurate and well-stated!
This incident points out the difference between a reporter and a journalist. A reporter reports what happened, a journalist writes the news they report.
In a month, few will even remember this "incident". Look at what Heraldo Riveria is doing now.

I agree he is no combat veteran. so it would be understandable for me to see where he could be confused as to what type of thing it was that made holes in that aircraft.
After all he isn't trained in ballistics of any kind right?

So he's announced he's going to be "off air" for the next few days. Who's putting money on it lasting longer?

major network news is not a reliable avenue for real new, you can not trust a word of what they report, and what they report it is not in the best interest of those watching or reading, and about 99.9 percent of what they say is lies. JMHO

not that this is anything new, it has been this way since the loons have been a influence in washington

Brian got caught, he's finished.

No news media allows the truth to be broadcast without frequent embellishment any more. All have the primary agenda of growing their audience, injecting or swaying their beliefs, and then keeping the ratings high to sell advertising.

I rarely watch the news. If I want someone to tell me how to think, I ask my wife.

He gets paid to spread lies. Why the upset? Too bad the one he got caught on was a personal account.
