BS or not

I joined this community a few weeks ago. I bought a MH shortly thereafter. Now I keep getting this e-mail and I did not ask for it. Is it real or just spam?
Hello.
Ken Levine here.

I know Tina sent you an email a few days
ago containing a link to access
your free-rv park directory.

She also informed me that you haven't
registered for your Preferred or VIP
Preferred program, and I was wondering
why?

So I did want to share with you a
little bit more about how this program was
created, and also why I believe it can
really help you.

You'll see why over 250,000 RV owners
are calling this their "secret weapon."

Check it out today and claim your 90-day
trial

Ken Levine
Director, Great RV Escapes

Anyone recognize this?
I do not answer e-mails I do not solicit.

Went onto the web. This is only one of many postings. Beware.

I received emails from this company and after countless requests to provide me just one example of a park they have in their network (which they never did) they sent back an email stating "Please contact another camping club. Respectfully, Tina Taylor"
I started looking up other reviews and this is what I found.
"Please be aware that the Great RV Escapes programme is a giant rip off.
I joined and paid my membership April 2013.The first 4 campgrounds I approached had never heard of this company and declined to honour the discount on offer from Great RV Escapes.I wrote back to Great RV Escapes and reminded them that they had advertised a money back guarantee and explained the problems I had encountered and asked for my money back.
They came back to me saying I had put one over them as my card had been declined, yet they had sent me a membership card.I sent them proof that my credit card had been billed and they simply said they never received it and I should go to my bank and sort it out.....and I will certainly do this.....but please be aware this is not a reputable company!!!! Matt "
Needless to say, we will not be joining this scam.

Easy Living, I hope you disputed the charge to your CC immediately. There is a 30-day time limit (I think) for disputing any such charges.

Thanks for the post as I have also been getting the same e-mail. I've just been deleting it, but they are certainly persistent. Nice to know that it's just another internet scam.

It was a posting off the internet - not us, but I can see how you would have thought that. Thanks for caring & warning.

From what I read they operate consistently in the grey area of legality. That's only because they do refund some people from time to time. Pass the word on the scam, folks.

Great RV Escapes Business Review in Chicago, IL - Chicago and Northern Illinois BBB

They get a C- with BBB. I never do business with a company that has a rating of less than A+

For the record, we do not sell, lend, give away or otherwise give out our member's information. Although it is still easy for a member (& an unscrupulous solicitor who joined as a member to send emails) to send you an email if you have that selected in your options/privacy settings. The link "Send a message via email to XXXX" will show up on your profile page under the Contact Info tab if you are allowing members to send you emails.

This is, of course, different than PM's (private messages).

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

As a newbie I fell for this email after email. I found out it was a scam as none of the camp sites they listed had ever heard of them so I requested a refund 3 days after signing up and received the refund on the 5th or 6th day. I was just as persistence as they were getting my refund.
I never thought I'd ever fall for something like this but it happened. Just once though.

Good Sam may flood your mail box with junk mail but it is not a scam. If you dont want to read it just trash it but quite often there sometimes it interesting in it.
