Burned my Newsweek!

July 2 & 9 issue page 46.
"Get the old off the road"
"They'er the worst drivers-and we're too scared to tell them so. If we don't push back, they'll steal our benefits and bankrupt the country."

Cancelled it also.

What was that movie where the youngsters did away with everyone over 30. I think it was back in the 70's.

Soylent Green??? Amazing how some think that the solution to their problems is to throw Grandma under the bus.

Stephen King's "Children of the Corn"?
Early eighties, and I think anyone over 18 was not wanted.

We've probably all threw Grandma under the bus at some time or another and now it's our turn.

If we'd been smart we should of all had a vasectomy when we were 8 years old.

I don't necessarily buy that when I've paid my SS and Medicare taxes (which took care of the Grandmas - the apparent point of the Newsweek statement) for well over 160 quarters.

Found it in Wikipedia "Logan's Run" Everyone one over 30 must die. Now days that would be 60%? of our population! Also the highest wage earners and tax payers....

I've always wondered why we get a vision test when we first get our DL as teenagers but never have to take one again when renewing our DL. Is that just true in my state, OK?

I can't speak to other states, but Texas checks vision as part of the license renewal process.
