I think if I did not already have a barn I would consider placing 2 containers parallel to each other spaced wide enough to park the MH in between. Add a roof over the whole thing high enough to clear the MH. Probably I would stack them 2 high then put the roof on. All kinds of possibilities for using all the space.

Should you decide to bury this container, I would coat the exterior surfaces with something to protect the metal from direct contact with the soil. I’ve seen firsthand the effects of that direct contact. Metal doesn’t last long. Also be aware it will attract crawling critters trying to escape the summer heat and looking for a place to den up during the winter.

Yes, but elevation is huge. I live at 7500ish ft asl and I'll get 5 inches of snow. I drive 5 miles south going down 12-1600ft and they get nothing.

Aw shucks, Bob! You say the sweetest things, and on Valentine's Day even.

Those Foothills lots are too small. I want neighbors to be at least 200 few away so my little 8# thief doesn’t go roaming. I was planning to look at 5-20 ac north of Dateland today, but postponed it due to rain. Tomorrow for sure.

I think this is interesting, but pretty pricey.

https://yuma.craigslist.org/fod/d/yu...794643065.html

My coach has peel and stick solar panels stuck on the roof so I'm not ready to shade it until I can afford to replace them. Panel prices are now less than $1/watt. Replacing them is on my long range plan.

I think I could build shade off the north side of a container and put the garden on the south side and not spend the $7K for the one above. Also, anything fabric won’t last very long in the sun here. I'd prefer to use mesh tarps that I can remove and store when I leave for the summer.

The country's largest solar farm, Aqua Caliente, is only a few miles away so it must be an excellent solar area.

Remember, I live with a monkey. My housekeeping standards are pretty low. I’ll give you a holler when I get down there. You wanna ride out to Dateland and look at land?

Once you pick some land........do research on Zoning Laws
Parcel number and inquire with zoning board....Yuma County is “Ambiguous.”

Thanks for the link. I'll make sure to check with the zoning office prior to buying any land. I'm looking at RA-5, RA-10 and RA-20 properties tomorrow. My visiting friends RVs can hopefully be considered "Farm Labor housing".
