Buying new diesel truck.

Hey guys! I'm planning to buy a new diesel truck. So, I need a bit of advice on how to go for the right one. This is the first time I'm purchasing a truck, and I'm not pretty sure about which one to go for. Also, I'm confused whether to buy a new one or used one. So, would really appreciate some help here.

Welcome to the forum.

Well, there are a lot of trucks to do many different things. Perhaps you could elaborate slightly what it is you're hoping to accomplish with this truck? If it's towing a trailer, how big and how heavy, how many miles a yr.? You have a budget in mind?
Have you searched the forum posts thus far? There are weeks of reading on this topic alone. What are you leaning towards, a good deal of choosing a modern workhorse is personal preference. All the leaders are good products.

Be well.

Well, first thing is you need to tell us about your budget. How much are you willing to pay? Second what type are you specifically looking for? Here's something you can go through. https://www.bcdiesel.ca/en/which-is-...l-truck-to-buy Hope it helps you get some idea on what could be perfect for you.

Since you're on this forum, I'll assume you wish to tow something with it. What? A tear drop trailer is one thing, a 40 foot triple axle toy hauler another and there is lots of room in between.

What do you intend to tow? Length and GVWR, 5er or a travel trailer?

This will determine 3/4 ton, 1 ton SRW or 1 ton DRW.

Here is a link to the "Turbo Diesel Register.com" site, this is a site that is dedicated to the Ram/Cummins diesel trucks. On the left hand side there is list of publications that are available for free once you register. These are downloadable and you can store them on your computer. One publication is called the "Buyers Guide" this will tell you what to look for in a diesel truck. Even thought it is gear to the Ram Truck the information is good for any purchaser looking at buying a diesel truck.

To register you need to hit the register button up in the right hand corner.

Turbo Diesel Register - TDR Roundtable - The Turbo Diesel Register

Check it out.
