Just wanted to let you avid cabela's fans out there know there is a new Cabela's opening in Hammond, Indiana. There is supposed to be a Grand Opening November 2.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">The approximately 185,000 square-foot retail showroom will be completed by late 2007, and will be Cabela's first in Indiana.
The new retail store will be located at the site of the former Woodmar Country Club at the intersection of Interstates 80 and 94 and Indianapolis Boulevard. The site, which Cabela's purchased in October 2005, encompasses approximately 100 acres and will eventually include additional retail and other new development around Cabela's store site. Additional development around Cabela's stores typically includes hotels, restaurants and complementary retail stores. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

It may be handy for some of you folks getting a late start leaving the service centers....

Cabela's also permits overnight parking, with the only exception being the one in Hamburg, PA, I believe.

The Cabela's web site lists the square footage of each store.

There is an amazing difference in the sizes of each store.

Being an avid striped bass fisherman, Cabela's is my favorite source for stuff. There is a fairly new huge store near Wheeling, WV. Sure wish they would open something near me in VA. We are getting Gander Mountain, Sportsmans Warehouse and Bass Pro in the near future.

The Cabela's store in Mitchell, SD not only has designated RV parking, but a nice dump station and fresh water fill.

There also is a new and vary large Cabela's on I-15 South. It is just outside of Salt Lake City on the way to Las Vegas, NV.
