Chuck1935 If going up 99 you could go take HW 4 west from Stockton. Two lane highway through some of the delta areas and smaller cities and towns. If going up I-5 you could take Grant Line Road out of Tracy and pick up HW4 at Byron. HW 4 goes west and connects with 680 south of the bridge near Concord/Martinez. That said we live in Oregon and have kids and grand kids in Tracy & Livermore and if it were me I'd take 580 to 680 after the morning rush. It'll probably be quicker. Perhaps someone more familiar with the area will have other suggestions.

Thanks Bob, It's a done deal. 580 to the 680 and it will be on Sunday so no traffic. We can't get into Napa Valley Expo RV park until Sunday so we will be spending Saturday night in Manteca.

Thanks to all that responded. This really is a wonderful web site. Everyone is so eager to jump in and give their views which is very helpful in making a decision not only for traveling but all of the things that this web site covers.
