Campgrounds vs campings

I noticed that google map is not given the same places weither you wrote camping or campground, is there a differences between those names ?

I think it may depend on which person was driving the bug eyed google street view car by the camp that day and what their interpretation might be. Try using a different search engine. Camping and campground mean the same to most of us.

I often camp in a campground. Camping in campgrounds is what a lot of us do.

Camping is wherever you decide to stop for the night. A campground is a location dedicated for that purpose.
