That's right....rub it in.

Work is highly over rated. Only problem I have with retirement is the days I schedule to do nothing. Sometimes I don't get through and have to do nothing the next day too

Tallulah retired 9 years before me so we could travel. She only got 3 weeks vacation and we were on the road for 4 1/2 months. Anyway , when I retired last year she was very helpful. She told me that I will know at least one day a week as the paper is larger on Sunday.

My kids gave me one of the day clocks when I retired. Only problem is I have to look at it some days to know what day it is

Most of those HOA rules won't stand the light of day in a courtroom. When I had my business I oft argued with the "clipboard queen" over what I was allowed to do. Any time she threatened me I said, "Take me to court!" and finally she asked, "Why do you always say that?" and I replied "I have to have a lawyer on retainer for my business so it will not cost more to fight your silly rules in a court of law." Strange but I was never threatened or fined ever again. When we sold and moved away we were told there were outstanding fines unpaid. I told my HOA Clipboard Queen" release them or we end up in court and the next afternoon the real estate lawyer's secretary called to say the fines had been dropped. Because you get a bunch of self-righteous wannabes making up bylaws don't make the bylaws legal. Condo committees all over are finding this out when owners finally have enough and tell the yahwhos where to go!

The last place we lived had an HOA and sometime during our stay there they changed the rules about moving trucks. It seems that someone had a full length moving van run over some flowers/hedges during their departure so the HOA had apparantly made a rule that no moving vans longer than 18 ft allowed. Needless to say when I moved I went and opened the back gate myself and let our full length moving van in. At about 3/4 loaded an HOA member approached me and stated it was against the rules. So I told her we would have the truck removed as soon as we finished loading. She got irate and stompted away.

Sarah that cheese shredder really hurt, but as a big Packer fan I have to say it is true. Well I just can,t decide who to cheer for now, but I do like Eli. Maybe I should say anybody but NE or Baltimore. Congrats on a well deserved victory.

Sorry, Jimmy...that was for Cliff!! (Don't tell him that I was pulling for the Pack, too. ) My Saints are also out, so I don't know who I'll cheer for either.
