Cat Found at RV Park....

DO YOU RECOGNIZE ME? Found 2/13 at the Travel Inn RV Park in Elma, WA. I belong to a couple camping there in an RV in 9/10-I escaped while staying there. They spent a year trying to find me-no luck. I was caught as part of a spay/neuter program and recognized by the RV park. I am staying with a rescue and being cared for. I am a sweet girl, although shy and scared. No micro-chipped. Owners are RV owners and loved this cat. May live in Seattle area. www.facebook.com/...

Me too... It would kill us to lose one of our 'kids'.... From the time we leave the driveway till we get home, our dogs have harness's on,, doors never opened without leashes on...

Your efforts to reunite this cat with it's owners are very commendable. I hope this effort can be successful!

Cat found

I just posted this to my Facebook page. I really hope the owners can be found. It breaks my heart to think of losing one of mine this way.

I gather there are no archived records for the RV Park from 2010.

I don't know... I was just passing this on as I somewhat recalled someone having lost a cat when readingf on here a year or so ago....

I learned the hard way that Lily would dash out the RV door whenever it was opened. She is microchipped and wears a collar with my cell phone # on it. But the most important thing I taught her is that she's not allowed out any door without my permission. Before opening the door, I tell her to "wait" and then I must tell her, "OK" before she can come down the steps.

It doesn't always work if she sees something she wants to chase, but we haven't had any more chase her around a parking lot nightmares.

If she does get loose I head for the toad. She doesn't want to be left behind so she jumps in. I will at least drive around the block so she isn't disappointed about getting into the car. I don't want that magic to wear off.

We could do better if she wasn't so determined to chase prey. Her ears quit working when she sees a bird or squirrel. She's 3.5 years old and getting better, but she will actually vibrate if she sees prey out the window and can't give chase.

Anyone know how to take the terrorist out of a terrier? She's a Maltese/Yorkie cross.

okmunkey,,, Thats the best thing we taught Oliver, our older Dane,,, is to "wait"... He stares at you waiting for the word it's ok to come through the door... As yours,, he doesn't come when called like we want,,, but thats our fault in training... We NEVER open the door of the rv without them on leash .... Too many horror stories about lost pets....
