New cell phones in 2010 are loaded with new features. For some models, like Motorola’s Droid, Blackberry Bold 9700, LG Chocolate Touch and HTC Nexus One by Google, consumers pay a hidden price: exposure to the highest legal levels of cell phone radiation. You can see for yourself by looking the radiation levels for new 2010 cell phones. Check & see the radiation level on your cell phone with this link. Time to get a new phone? Type in your model in the right hand column. Makes me wonder what those Blue Tooths are doing to folks that always have them in their ear, too.

youll get more gamma exposure taking a plane trip across country.

Its nearly impossible to recommend a "human dosage" on radiation. Being that gamma is all around!

Hmm... my old Nokia 6015i puts out about 1.28 W/kg. I note that the cellphones with the least radiation seem to also be the models that are well known for having the worst reception as well.....

Not sure if you've ever seen the video with 4 cell phones aimed at a few kernels of corn on a coffee table.... the 4 cell phones are called at one time and while they are ringing the corn starts popping. I'll look for the video and post it.

That was proven to be a hoax.

Snopes.

For every "scientific" study that indicates cell phone radiation can cause cancer, there is another "scientific" study with just the opposite findings.

I think scientists cause cancer.

The radiation emanating from a cell phone has NEVER been shown, despite many, many studies to be harmful to people.

If you are concerned, minimize the amount of time you spend on the phone. Given that the information content of most cell phone conversations is zero, minimizing your use will not be an imposition.

I found I can negate the radiation by wearing my tinfoil cap down over my ears when I use my phone.

Watts per unit weight? I don't think I've ever seen a cell phone radiation level listed that way

Watts per unit area at a given distance yes.

More to the fact.. There have been several studies showing the danger of high levels of radiation.. And several "Scares" about cell phone radiation.

There have also been several studies, properly conducted studies, that showed that the much preached dangers are greatly exaggerated. Very highly exaggerated in fact (Basically there is no danger)

There is, however, a change in the brain of folks who seem to have a cell glued to their ear. It is not caused by radiation though. it's caused by having a phone glued to your ear.

Also, a 2nd factor... Radiation is a time affected thing

A short burst of high level radiation is not as bad as a longer exposure to a lower level. but that said, your body "Processes" the radiation out as well (The effects decay) and the key is to keep the exposure below the decay rate.

Kind of like Booze... If you have one drink a day you will never get drunk

You can, in fact, have say 4 drinks (At six hour intervals) and never be drunk

But you have those same 4 drinks in one hour and you are PLASTERED (Assumes a 150 pound person).
