Oklahoma has more than just bad interstate roads...the rest of the roads in the state are in pretty sad shape. Surprsed they got missed.

I'm really surprised that Texas was tops in good drivers. Between Dallas, Austin and Houston, the rating should be rock bottom.

Hold the phone a minute, Shirley. something doesn't make sense here.

How can California be in the "Top 5 worst drivers" (ranked #1) and at the same time be in the "Top 5 best drivers" (ranked #3)?

I think I can splain that. California drvers were ranked worst by out of staters visiting CA. they were ranked best by Californians that went to Arizona and Florida and found out what really bad drivers are like.

Texas has one of the "needs explanation", too. How can it be #5 in the Toughest Law Enforcement category and #3 in the Weakest Law Enforcement. I realize it is a big State and that part of it may "exceed the limits" in enforcement (read this as speed traps) while others (many others, IMHO) are very lax.

And the answer is??

The rest area topic makes me question it as well. Texas has just built some showplace rest areas on I-10 between Houston and San Antonio and is adding WiFi access at its rest areas. Now, if I compare that to some of the pit toilet rest areas we saw when we lived in the Midwest......

Before you go knocking Florida Drivers, Remember, Most drivers on our roads are from "Out of State", in rental cars.

Are you wondering how AOL takes its polls?

They use voting machines they got from Florida.

Do you remember when all rental cars had a z on the plate. When I lived down there it was a good way of knowing why the car in front of you kept slowing down. The reason they got rid of it was because tourist were being carjacked.
