I just had to share my joy. DW has been battling breast cancer this summer, actually since last November. Well this Thursday will be the final chemo session -- HOORAY!!!

It will take about two weeks for her to be back on her feet and we are off for a week of travel and fun. The motorhome has been parked next to the house all summer, ready to go. I have fulfilled my travel dreams on this forum for the summer, and thank you all for allowing me to enjoy your stories and exploits.

Now it is our turn to finally get on the road, even for just a short time. We are off to northern Michigan. Our first stop will be in Traverse City, then on to Petoskey. Have a rental car waiting for local sightseeing. We will then be on our way to Manistee and finally back home in SW Michigan.

She wants some time in the Indian casinos at the penney slots, I will have time for some good northern style golf. So much golf, so little time.

Thanks for induldging me and allowing this start to our celebration.

Great news and have fun on your trip!

My daughter lives in Bay City and we always
manage to go to Soaring Eagle when we visit.

Best Regards, Clyde

Thank you all for your thoughts. We couldn't be happier. Can't wait for tomorrow and the final session. If all goes as the previous sessions it will be two weeks and she will feel well enough to want to travel.

Retired2golf; if you like the Soaring Eagle, you should give Turtle Creek in Traverse city a try, and also Little River in Manistee. The little river has a very nice RV park too.

Thanks again for all your positive thoughts, they are appreciated by both of us.

SHE IS DONE!!!!! Just got home from her last chemo session a few minutes ago. Everything went well. We are still on schedule to leave in two weeks for our week away. We will both be counting the minutes.
