Hi Sweetheart,

I am sorry about getting into an argument about putting up the Christmas lights.

I guess that sometimes I feel like you are pushing me too hard when you want something.

I realize that I was wrong and I am apologizing for being such a hard-headed guy.

All I want is for you to be happy and be able to enjoy the holiday season.

Nothing brightens the Christmas spirit like Christmas lights!

I took the time to hang the lights for you today and now I will be off to the golf course.

Again, I am very sorry for the way I acted yesterday.

I'll be home later.

Love you……

Actually, when I showed it to her, she laughed & laughed. I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share it with the folks here.

When is the funeral?

Fact: in another forum (NOTE IRV2) one of the moderators posted about "Save the Peacocks" Seems one citizen puts up Christmas lights which include a lighted Peacock, Well this year they had two lighted peacocks and some crabby appleton complained "Not a Christmas tradition"

More Here: Peacocks and ruffled feathers - WLBT 3 - Jackson, MS:

(Somehow I suspect this man is part of a Christmas Tradition... Like the lead character in "A Christmas Carol" at the start of the movie)

Google search is not much good. Face book a bit better but hold on....

Well I did notice the news item I linked to was on NBC.. I wonder if the network could send an investigative reporter to dog the complainer (Who it turns out is a Ms. Scrooge, not a Mr.) for a while.

Some folks.... need to get a life.

The mayor sounds like my neighbor, across the street. If something does not fit into what she considers, "acceptable", then she stirs up trouble.

It's not like she put up a 20' blow-up bird on her roof. Who cares if it's a peacock??? Seriously?? You're right- some people, REALLY, need a life. Look at all the money, wasted, on this that could have been spent on important issues like hospital ER's or roads or any of a thousand things that really need attention.

BTW, funny photo of the Christmas lights! Your DW, obviously, has an outstanding sense of humor!!

Sheila
