in the building industry its called a "construction joint". two in succession are known as an "expansion joint"

so we as non Chrysler driving persons should file a class action suit against Chrysler for allowing unsafe vehicles on the road.

or should maybe the NTSB immediately name all Chrysler vehicles built in the last year as UNSAFE and have them removed from the roads.
imagine the chaos.

or can we have our money back


I think tomorrow i will visit a Chrysler dealer and ask if their vehicles are safe, since they were built by intoxicated people

I didn't know it was against the law to have a beer at lunch time....they'd have to shut down my home town completely with all these rules.

Maybe they're having the equivalent of the three-martini lunch that most executives enjoy. Nothing wrong with that unless you're not an executive.
Is there a double-standard?

Apparently 13 of them are now on the unemployment line - see HERE.

By the way, our company has a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs. If any employee blows over a 0.000, they're gone, and we're all subject to random testing.

sure don't have a problem with a beer with lunch. do have a problem with the other! double standard doesn't enter into this. my personel opinion.

Obviously it is not illegal to have a lunchtime beer. But, I suspect the manufacturer has company policy against such behavior, especially under the influence of illegal drugs. My daughter was refused employment due to a trace reading of drugs (she has chronic allergies and the prescribed drug contains amphetamines). We are going to no-tolerance ourselves into the trash heap of history.

But it seems you want it both ways. You are perfectly willing to put a manufacturer out of business if they have purported unsafe vehicle on the road but you want the workers to operate while drunk. Now which is it?

Wow No comments on the safety of the workers that work at a mind dulling, hot dirty job.

This kind of stuff went on for years. Long ago at my job we always met for lunch and a few beers (no pot) and no one thought a thing about it. But as time went by we stopped because the company and the employees got smarter. Now it is unheard of AFAIK at my company.

but with more people tending to file lawsuits if there is a problem (which now a days can be traced) companies have to cut out the potential safety problems or risk losing multi millions of $
