They dont last too long, are pretty in an odd sort of way. Some cats like to eat them.
Dont know if they are to show in PA.
You oughta hear them from MY side of the hearing aids!

Would those be Nashville cats - play cool as country water? Or just any old cats?

They can be loud little critters.

I grew up on a farm in central Texas until 1952 when we had to move because of a drought. I was almost eight. I remember summers there with the windows open at night to let in the cool breeze and hearing the songs of what we then called "locusts". But these were there every year, no waiting for decades to pounce on us by the billions. To me, fond memories.

I have always lived in western NC--if you havent heard this(along with tree frogs,etc..) that are in the NC woods--youre in for a treat.At night this is almost deafening--I like it---Vince

We had them in Prescott Az.in the spring.When we moved there in the mid 90s was the first time we heard them .Thought it was great,the sound of nature.Now we are living in Or and really miss that sound.Up here we just get rusty.
