When I was a kid I worked parking cars, handing out ETs - and ridding in the ambulance up the track looking for anything thing the big boys may have left behind after burning their nitro. What a gas and by that I mean thrill. Does it still smell like a 100 rounds of 22 caliber shells went off all at once? Now who could call that offensive?

Don Gay - the Mickey Thompson Mach I - the Flying Dutchman so many others. Green Monster and Little Red Wagon were a breed of their own. Those were the days and now are memories to savor over a good cigar and XO.

My last post was very clear and also clarified my misunderstood first post. Although not my first experience...My dad was right about arguing with certain type of individuals.

I was just reading a few days ago about how many deaths occur from all different things. On the top of the list was Medical errors. The number was north of 100,000.
I don't smoke any more, but I have never and will never tell some else what he or she
can or can not do as long as it is not ILLEAGL for them to do it.

Can anyone recommend the biggest, stinkiest cigar out there? I'm not an afficianado, but do want to add a few to my toolbox as "negotiating tools".

Until I read this thread I had no idea how annoying they could be to some folks. I'd like to have some handy so I can light one up anytime my neighbor's bothering me. Then when he comes over to tell me to put it out, I'll be able to say:
"No problem- I'll do that as soon as you stop with the (insert grievance here)."

I'll be Queen of The Campground!

Any large, very cheap maduro (black) should do it. Now get out there and negotiate!

Do I need to soak it in used motor oil for maximum Negotiating Power, or does it come that way?

To throw my 2 cents in, it is not about the smoking cigars around the campfire, I qiut smoking almost 40 years ago, and can't stand the smell of most cigars. But I will defend the rights of an individual to do anything legal on their own lot, as long as it is not against the rules of the area.
To all the tree huggers out there, your EPA is going to irradicate the entire human race, by cleaning up the air and water to the extent that it is eliminating the human immune system and leaving us vulnerable to an organism or virus that will eventually wipe us out.

It should be fine as is. Just make sure your target is downwind. Delivering your message airmail, so to speak.

To me this all falls under tolerance. During the period of time that smoking was slowing being out law'd in public places I had many friends say, "I bet you are looking forward to going out to eat without smoke since you have sever asthma."

My reply was always, "No, I'm not looking forward to it. I would much rather tolerate another persons smoke for a little while than fear that my vice will be the next thing the liberals want to outlaw."

Too many people want to outlaw everything that bothers them with no regard to their actions bothering other people. I have heard all the medical arguments over cigarette/cigar smoke but for anyone to sit in the middle of a campground with campfires, especially the ones loaded with magnesium and copper chloride to make pretty colors, and complain that the cigarette/cigar smoke is killing them, is just looking for a fight.

Freedom does not equal safety. I would prefer to be free to enjoy my pleasures and accept a little risk along with it, than to be safe from that evil cancerous smoke and not be free to enjoy my pleasures.

Tolerance, people, tolerance!!

Will do...fortunately, at least according to my Husband, "downwind" is 360 degrees around wherever I'm standing when I let loose!

Soaking the end in a decent Brandy before you light up is an added pleasure.
Besides, after smoking it you'll be so tuned it won't matter to you what anybody says.

This is offered as a public service.
