Civil War Photos - (again maybe)
I posted something like this once before, but in case you missed it, or in case there are additional pictures, here is a web site with Civil War photos. Clicking on a picture opens it, and clicking it again closes it (on a MAC - Windows may need to double click.)

Just plain unbelievable what we did to each other during that war....
I don't have words for what the photos portray or how they make me feel...
Just read an article today that there are new findings that calculate how many were actually killed during that war.
The thinking; as I recall is there were approx. 21% MORE people killed as a result of the war than were previously thought to have perished.
Truly a sad time in American History.

I stood on and or observed a number of locations shown in the pictures while at Gettysburg.

We have been to Gettysburg 3 times, and it still is a fantastic voyage in time.

Thanks for posting the link! Some great and not so great pictures.
I live near and have toured the Andersonville, GA cemetery and POW camp. The picture of the Andersonville survivor near the bottom is chilling. Skin and bones. The conditions and treatment of prisoners was deplorable!

Civil War Photo's
Thanks for posting the Civil War Photo's. My Father and Mothers Family had members on both side's, North and South in that Bloody War. It was truely Brother against Brother, Family against Family. It shouldn't and will never be forgotten. A sad time im our Country's History. I have been to a couple of battle sights in Atlanta Ga, and in Virgina. It chills me to the bone.
