Bought my RV Halloween of 07 and have like many of you over the years done numerous upgrades and additions to make things easier and life more pleasurable. Only after being asked what I wanted for my RV in a trade that I got to thinking of what I have invested other than maintenance & replacement of worn or broken parts.
After totaling everything, Holy Crap... $31K. And I'd do it again!

How about You?

Never a dime spent on a project I would not do again. Did some of them get out of hand, cost 5 times what I could ever hope to get out of it? Not work the way I wanted/expected when it was done? You betcha. Learned from it too. And I'd do it all over again.

Thunk this one up one day in my early twenties and have lived like by it:
Chase your dreams
Leave no regrets
Reach for the brass ring
This life is NOT a test

My favorite quote by anyone that ever mattered:

A buddy of mine and I built a short version of that out of a bread truck in the 80s for sleeping in at the race tracks. Ours had drop down beds like the pop up trailers have now. It would barely pull itself much less the Formula Ford we had on the trailer behind it. Mostly because it only had a small Chevy 6 banger in it. We never spent any money on the motor. The race cars were eating up all our soda money as it was.

Interesting configuration it makes from the overhead view with the slides out.

What I thought was really interesting about it is the way the "Slides" work. Outside panel swings up to for the roof, walls fold out then floor drops in. All hydro. Man I'd love to just sit watch it open and close.

OK guys and gals, it would seem our project to turn disabled vets into self sufficient farmers is getting off the ground. This means my plans to have a mobile upgrade shop may very well change but not the travel.

If this thing does launch, I might just put out a call to all you CLACers to assist in erecting greenhouses and setting up aquaponics systems for these veterans all over the place, perhaps near you.

Info on what we are up to is in the signature link below. Stay tuned campers, errr CLACers.

Jay,
I'm so happy that your plan is coming together. Our veterans need every bit of support that we can give them.

Couldn't agree more. The original plan was to set this up in a few years as a commercial operation and let the kids take it over one day. "Anywhere but Oklahoma" they said. So, too bad for them.

We tossed around the idea of doing it as a non profit for vets and decided to go for it. We have lots of family already there that will run the facility while we are on the road building new ones. Best of of both worlds.

Donations happily accepted pays for itself after 1 year.

I know you folks are working on something. Lets see it. Everything I'm working on now is not RV related.

Almost done with the travertine floor in the S&B.

All those tiles started as 12"x12"
Cut some into 12"x6" and 6"x6" to create the pattern.

Convert the shower to walk in closet for about $5

Add cloths hanger bar to use shower as closet | 2001 Coachmen Mirada 300QB

Great for additional hang up closet space, or wet bathing suits or towels...
