Class A or Type A?
I was on another forum and I noticed that lately people are referring to "Type A, B, C" motorhomes. Since when? is it not PC to call things "class" anymore? I just found it odd.

Class is the older more traditional term. Type is newer and was created by FMCA (I think). Were you seeing Type on the FMCA forum boards?

RVIA, which sets the standards for the industry, changed the designation to "Type A" in 2000.
So far not many seem to care!

Exactly somebody decided it was a put down to say you have a class B or C coach and might hurt somebody's feelings. Thus the attempted change to "type."

Can we all go back to the 60's, 70's or even 80's when not of these issue were not a "thing"? I graduated HS in 1976, worked for just under 40 yrs and retired. This business about hurting someone feelings over a long term accepted description is enough to make me want to live on another planet.
Whew! OK, I'm ok now. Sorry, just had to get it out.

Me too. I own a class A currently. I previously owned a class c. Before that, it was a pop up. Before that, a tent.
I have always had a lack of class personally, so I buy them.
The world has gone nuts. This PC stuff is the short path to no one ever being happy, because it make victims and insultees of everyone and everything, even when no insult was intended.
I have no desire to be a victim, or being obligated to feel wronged because of someone's name for some item I own. I have better things to do with my time.

I miss read that as Class A and Type A.
Envisioned a 45' being driven aggressively, weaving in traffic, flipping people off, tailgating.

My take exactly, but then I'm not generally one that gets into semantics issues.
