Here's the quilt my wife just completed for our granddaughter. Thank goodness the next one for our grandson is only a twin. Working on a queen-sized quilt in a MH makes for some crowded conditions.

Beautiful colors. I love those with all different colors.

The grandchild looks like one healthy handsome little man!

Nice work Tom. When does the couch come out for the long arm quilting machine?

Well, I don't sew, but my spinning wheel and knitting looms go with me along with a lot of wool I need something to do in the evenings around the campfire.

Wife sews, knits, quilts, spins, weaves; you name it, if it concerns any kind of fibers, she's there. 18x24' "sewing/craft room" addition, entire second floor of house is a weaving studio and she has a large area in an outbuilding dedicated for dye stuff (a dye kitchen with piped in rain barrel water) stove top, etc.

What she does on the road? Spins and weaves:

Spinning wheel is her traveling model (she has other "not packable" versions) and stores in the bedroom closet (I get a couple of drawers for clothes . She gets very strange looks, indeed, when she sits outside spinning in preparation for weaving. Almost every trip has to take us through Gering, NE where the Brown Sheep Wool Co. is...half the basement is reserved for "fiber finds" there. This last trip we took found us in Gering twice...I had bags of raw fiber stuffed everywhere, had to pack about half of it inside when she filled up the basement...actually, it made a very comfy foot rest.

Since there is only the two of us, I suppose I could take out the couch and put some of her sewing....nah, got to draw the line somewhere, or I'll be sitting outside in the rain! If you see some old guy and three cats sitting around outside in the dark, that would be me... Glad I'm not alone...
